The Velocity Hockey Center 3 on 3 Game

Generally Speaking the emphasis will be to get out of the kids way and let them play and have fun!

With the Custom built rink size here at the Velocity Hockey Center, the most critical skills required in the game of hockey will be practiced in repetition.

Are there special rules? (Please see the all rules list)
Yes. The intent of the 3-on-3 League is to have as much continuous play as possible with as little rules and stoppage of play as reasonably possible.

Will there be off- sides?
There is no Off-Sides in the 3 on 3 leagues or tournaments.

Is this a no check league?
Yes.

What division should my team or child play in?
ALL the 3 on 3 leagues Divisions are age specific. Please view the requirements before registering an individual OR team. We are enforcing this rule to make sure the league is very competitive at all levels.

How many players per team?
You are required to roster a minimum of 11 skaters plus 1 goalie.

Will the goalies be used?
Yes. Each team is required to have 1 goalie with an option of a 2nd at all levels.

What is the format for each game?
Each 3 on 3 game is 50 minutes running time for all levels.

How long are the shifts?
All First Year, Intermediate and Upper Mites ~ 60 seconds
Squirts, Peewees, Bantams and above ~ Change on the fly

Do we need Coaches/Parents on the bench?
YES. All teams will be required to have at least one Coach/Parent on the bench.
